Redeemer Whither Shall I Flee...

"Redeemer, whither shall I flee,
Or how escape the wrath to come?
The weary sinner flies to thee
For shelter from the impending doom:
Smile on me, gracious Lord, and shew
Thyself the friend of sinners now.
Beneath the shadow of thy cross,
The heavy-laden soul finds rest:
Let me esteem the world as dross,
So I may be of Christ possess'd!
I borrow ev'ry joy from thee,
For thou art life and light to me.
Close to my Savior's bloody tree
My soul, untir'd, shall ever cleave;
Both scourg'd and crucified with thee,
With Christ resolved to die and live.
My pray'r, my grand ambition this,
Living and dying to be his.
O nail me to the sacred wood,
There hold me by the Spirit's chain,
There seal me with thy fast'ning blood,
Nor ever let me loose again:
There may I bow my supplicant knee,
And own no other Lord but thee."

Sunday Hymns - Call to Worship

Slumb’ring souls, awake and sing
Psalms to your exalted King.
Join the choir of saints above;
Joy in songs of Christian love.
Give to God a glorious song—
Hands extended, voices strong!
Wakened souls, an anthem raise;
Sing your sacrifice of praise.
Lift your mind, your heart, your voice,
Heed the happy call: “Rejoice!”
Give to God a glorious song—
Hands extended, voices strong!
Joyful souls, let song take flight:
Praise the Father, God of light;
Praise the Savior, Christ the Son;
Praise the Spirit—Three in one!
Give to God a glorious song—
Hands extended, voices strong!

Sunday Hymns - He Who is Mighty

VERSE 1

Oh, the mercy our God has shown  To those who sit in death’s shadow

The sun on high pierced the night Born was the Cornerstone

PRE-CHORUS

Unto us a Son is given, unto us a Child is born

CHORUS

He Who is mighty has done a great thing  Taken on flesh, conquered death’s sting

Shattered the darkness and lifted our shame  Holy is His name

VERSE 2

Oh, the freedom our Savior won  The yoke of sin has been broken

Once a slave, now by grace  No more condemnation

CHORUS

He Who is mighty has done a great thing  Taken on flesh, conquered death’s sting

Shattered the darkness and lifted our shame  Holy is His name

BRIDGE

Now my soul magnifies the Lord  I rejoice in the God Who saves

I will trust His unfailing love  I will sing His praises all my days

CHORUS

He Who is mighty has done a great thing  Taken on flesh, conquered death’s sting

Shattered the darkness and lifted our shame  Holy is His name

Sunday Hymns - Depth of Mercy

VERSE 1
Depth of mercy can there be
Mercy reaching even me
God the Just His wrath forbears
Me the chief of sinners spares
So many times my heart has strayed
From His kind and perfect ways
Making clear my desperate need
For His blood poured out for me

VERSE 2
Give me grace Lord let me own
All the wrongs that I have done
Let me now my sins deplore
Look to You and sin no more
There for me the Savior stands
Holding forth His wounded hands
Scars which ever cry for me
Once condemned but now set free

Sunday Hymns - How Precious is the Book Divine

How precious is the book divine,
by inspiration given;
bright as a lamp its pages shine
to guide our souls to heaven.

It sweetly cheers our fainting hearts
in this dark vale of tears;
life, light and joy it still imparts,
and quells our rising fears.

This lamp shall guide our steps aright
and cheer us on our way,
till we behold the clearer light
of an eternal day.

Divine Instructor, gracious Lord,
be thou ever near;
teach me to love thy sacred Word
and view my Savior there.
